He assists ED(O) in overall operation and maintenance of Heavy Water Plants at Manuguru, Kota and Talcher. His activities mainly involve, day to day monitoring of operational / maintenance activities, optimisation of production, formulation and implementation of modifications for plant improvements, and also to attend matters relating to administration and industrial relations in the plants under his charge.

He assists ED(O) in Operation & Maintenance of Heavy Water Plants at Thal, Baroda, Tuticorin & Hazira. His activities include, day to day monitoring of operational /maintenance activities, optimisation of production, formulation and implementation of modifications for plant improvements, and also to attend matters relating to administration and industrial relations in the plants under his charge.

He is responsible for all the matters regarding personnel and administration in all the Heavy Water Plants and Central Office of Heavy Water Board.

He is responsible for all the matters pertaining to Budget, Accounts and Finance of all the Heavy Water Plants and Central Office of Heavy Water Board.

He is responsible for all matters concerning Safety aspects of all the Heavy Water Plants. He is also responsible for man power planning, training and health services. He reports to Chief Executive, HWB.
